JUBA – South Sudan Vice President for Economic Cluster and First Deputy Chairperson of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), travelled to Maridi County in Western Equatoria to inaugurate the party’s political education school.

Santo Malek Anai, SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilization, told Sudans Post on Monday that the school was previously located in Lobonok, Central Equatoria, before being relocated to Maridi with approval from the party’s political bureau.

“The first deputy chairperson and other senior officials travelled to Maridi County to inaugurate the SPLM political education school,” he said. “It was already established, but it has been relocated as approved.”

Malek added that the high-level delegation included Daniel Awet Akot, SPLM Second Deputy Chairperson, Bol Makueng, SPLM Secretary for External Relations, and Daniel Abocha Ali, Chairperson of the SPLM Youth League.

“We have already started training with trainers under the SPLM Youth League. We hold classes every Saturday and have so far graduated more than 3,000 cadres,” he concluded.
