Speaking to Sudans Post in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, Maj. Gen. David Nyang Kueth, a senior representative of South Sudan Opposition Alliance to peace mechanisms, stressed the need to have governments at state and local levels in order to tackle issues of growing insecurities.
”I think it is good to expedite the formation of the state government because there are a lot of things happening there at state and local because of the absence of the government such as insecurities,” Nyang told Sudans Post.
The official believed establishing a state government will give hope to IDPs and refugees in neighboring countries to return home to re-build their lives.
“Having government at state and local levels gives people hope that the peace is here and it will motivate IDPs and refugees to return home and build their lives,” Nyang said.
