Sudanese PM, IGAD envoy discuss South Sudan peace process

KHARTOUM – Sudanese prime minister Abdalla Hamdok on Tuesday met the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Special Envoy on South Sudan Ismail Wais over the South Sudan peace process.

“Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Hamdouk met Tuesday in his office with IGAD Envoy for South Sudan State, ambassador Ismail Wais,” the government-ran Sudan News Agency reported.

“The envoy presented a report on the implementation of South Sudan agreement.

Meanwhile the prime minister has expressed Sudan readiness to support efforts targeted achievement of peace between the brothers in South Sudan from its position as chairmanship of IGAD, besides the special ties that linked the two countries,” it added.
