Suspect in Lakes State police officer’s killing arrested

JUBA – Authorities in Lakes State have arrested the suspect in the killing of Sergeant Major Bol Marual, which occurred on February 21, 2024, at the Malou-Pech Payam police post in Cueibet County.

Lakes State police spokesman Maj. Elijah Mabor Makuac confirmed the arrest and provided details.

“The suspect was caught in a place called Machar-kitab and is currently under arrest in Cueibet County headquarters for investigation,” he said.

“This is a great achievement, and we are pleased that our people cooperated with us until we gained access to this suspect,” he added.

Maj. Makuac emphasized the importance of cooperation between the authorities and the community in apprehending suspects.
