Top-notch Saudi gov’t delegation in Juba to identify ‘suitable location’ for embassy

A high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday arrived in South Sudan’s capital Juba where they are currently identifying suitable location for their first-ever embassy in the country.

JUBA, FEBRUARY 15th 2023 (SUDANS POST) – A high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday arrived in South Sudan’s capital Juba where they are currently identifying suitable location for their first-ever embassy in the country.

In a statement, the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation said the delegation led by non-resident ambassador to South Sudan paid a visit to the ministry headquarters where they met the minister of foreign affairs and that they are figuring out where they could build their embassy in Juba.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Mayiik Ayii Deng met this morning (14th February, 2023) with a delegation headed by the non-resident ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to South Sudan,” the ministry statement reads in part.

“The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry Headquarters, during this trip where they are identifying suitable locations to establish an embassy and residence for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Juba,” the statement added.

Foreign minister Mayiik Ayii Deng further “remarked how that the government of South Sudan greatly values its cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and passed his regards to his counterpart in Riyadh.”
