JUBA – South Sudan’s Unity state, the country’s northern oil-rich border territory, has outperformed other states in the country in the recently released primary examination results with 77.92 pass percentage.
In a press conference to release the results of primary eight examinations, the deputy minister of general education Martin Tako Moyi said Friday about 62,362 candidates of an initial 64,138 sat for the exams across the country in February.
The senior government official who speaking in the press conference at the premise of the ministry of general education in Juba on Friday said 32,549 of the registered candidates were boys and 20,693 were girls.
According to statistics obtained by Sudans Post, Unity state which only has 1,922 candidates, the smallest number than any other state in South Sudan, outsmarted other states with pass percentage of 77.92%.
Jonglei state, which has 2,256 candidates, comes second in place with pass percentage of seventy-five point seventeen (75.17).
Warrap state which has 6,030, the highest number of candidates, comes third with 72.29 pass percentage.
