JUBA – South Sudan’s Vice-President for Economic Cluster James Wani Igga along with ministers of higher education, Changson Gabriel Lew Chang, foreign affairs, Beatrice Khamisa Wani, and water resources Manawa Peter Gatkuoth, are in the Egyptian capital Cairo for a several-day state visit, according to the Egyptian government.
“Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held an official reception ceremony for the Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, “James Wani Igga”, at the headquarters of the Prime Ministry, where the national anthems of the two countries, Egypt and South Sudan, were played, and the guard of honor was reviewed,” the Egyptian premier’s office said in a statement.
“During the visit, meetings of the first session of the joint higher committee between the two countries will be held, which will conclude with the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding,” the statement added.
“The delegations of the two countries are also scheduled to hold an expanded session of talks today, headed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and James Wani Igga, to discuss the details of bilateral cooperation and bilateral and regional issues of common interest.”
