BREAKING: Vice-president Rebecca Garang tests positive for COVID-19

A presidency official told Sudans Post in an email this morning that Garang tested positive for the virus on Wednesday evening and was in a stable condition.

JUBA – South Sudan Vice-President for Gender and Youth Cluster and senior member of the SPLM Former Detainees Rebecca Nyandeng Garang De’ Mabior has tested positive for coronavirus.

A presidency official told Sudans Post in an email this morning that Garang tested positive for the virus on Wednesday evening and was in a stable condition.

“This is to inform you that Vice-President for Gender and Youth Cluster H.E Mrs. Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior has tested positive for coronavirus,” the official said in the statement.

“Currently, she is in a stable conditions and is showing less symptoms of the virus and doctors will take care of her from home,” the official who requested not to be named added.
