JUBA – South Sudan’s Vice President and the Service Clusters chairperson, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, on Sunday donated SSP 30 million for construction of Warrap State government Secretarial in the capital Kuajok.
Hussein made this pledge during the fundraising event organized by state government to fund Agriculture and Food Security as well as build new state secretarial. The event was held at Nyakuron Cultural Center on Sunday.
A according to a government official, the Vice President, as well as other officials, promised Warrap citizens to deliver on the promises.
“The Vice president of cluster service pledgee 3 million as part of the construction of the state’s secretariat premises. As youth of the state, we are grateful for his contribution,” said the official who is not authorized to the media.
He added that other officials have made pledges akin to Hussein’s and it is going to be dependent on the time they would make fulfilment of their promises.
For his part, business tycoon, Kur Ajiing Ater has donated $1 million, tycoon Makiir Gai donates $ 100,000, the CEO of Bibi Empire, Bibi Ali Aker and his wife, Chagai Muorwel donated $100,000 and First Lady Mary Ayen donates SSP 50 million, business tycoon, Joseph Maroor Akol donated SSP 30 million, business Tycoon, Lado Lukak donated $ 30,000, business Tycoon and the founder of Wunkoc Construction Company donated SSP 30 Million and National Minister of Finance and Planning, Bak Barnaba Chol donated SSP 30 Million.
Governor of Warrap State, Kuol Muor Muor thanked the people of who Warrap State and South Sudanese in general for their sympathy and support towards the development of Warrap State
“No one will come and build Warrap for us. I acknowledged the great roles played by business people and well wishes for their endless support as it will Shape the current nature of Warrap State,” said Kuol.
