JUBA — The governor of South Sudan’s Warrap state Gen. Aleu Ayieny Aleu has expelled a local journalist working for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Warrap state claiming the journalist is involved in activities that threaten peace in the state.

In a letter addressed to the head of UNMISS field office in Kuajok, the capital of Warrap state, Governor Aleu said the journalist was involved in activities that threat peace and stability in the state.

“This letter serves to inform your institution that one of your personnel particularly Mr. Manyang Mayom is considered to be participating in activities that jeopardize peace and stability in Warrap State and as such he is given only seventy-two hours (72) to leave Warrap State,” the letter adds.

The governor did not however state what activities the journalist is involved in to warrant claims of anti-peace practices.

Manyang Mayom was the one who destabilized his home of Lake State and now he was in Warrap State why not arrested him? That is how Agar people mess up the entire Lake State by taking bribed $ to destroying the communities. Ashamed on Manyang Mayom for moving to Warrap State to destroy the communities just because he has been given a lot of money.
