YAMBIO – A South Sudanese man in the country’s Western Equatoria state’s Yambio town has been arrested by the state police authorities for allegedly burning to death his nine-year-old daughter for visiting his divorced mother, according to the state police commissioner Major General James Monday Enoka.

Speaking to Sudans Post this afternoon, General Monday who previously served as South Sudan Police Spokesman said that the man has been arrested and is currently under investigation awaiting transfer to court of law saying the authorities condemn the evil action.

“He has been arrested because this is unacceptable in our society and we at the police in Western Equatoria state condemn this action,” the senior police commander said in a phone interview with Sudans Post from Yambio.

“Now he is being investigated, after the investigation ended, he will be transferred to the court of law and he will face his actions,” the police officer further added.
