Cueibet man kills brother in dispute over cow

CUEIBET COUNTY – A man in Lakes State’s Cueibet County has killed his younger brother in a dispute over a cow at the Panthou cattle camp in Pagor Payam.

Lakes State Police Spokesman Maj. Elijah Mabor Makuac confirmed the incident and described the current security situation in the state as generally calm, aside from a few isolated cases.

“According to the report, these two brothers clashed over a cow which was sent by the father because the father sent the younger brother to the cattle camp to bring a cow and on the process,” he told Sudans Post today.

“The two brothers disagreed with the elder one and then they fought leading to the beating with the stick of his younger brother to death,” he explained.

The suspect fled the scene after the attack and remains at large, Makuac said, adding that police authorities are currently searching for him.
