JUBA – The former governor of the defunct Boma state – now an administrative area – David Yau Yau has warned those he termed as enemies of peace against spreading “unfounded” rumors of his defection to fight the government.

This comes after a meeting between him and President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Friday following his return to the capital Juba from Boma area early this week.

Speaking to the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) Yau Yau said he came to Juba to refute all the allegations that he had defected and that he came to brief President Salva Kiir Mayardit himself so that the South Sudan head of state have a clear picture of what has been ongoing in Pibor.

“I am coming to refute all these allegations labelled on me that I defected again which happened to be unfounded allegation and baseless allegation that some of the enemies of peace in the Republic of South Sudan have made up,” Yau Yau said.

“So I have come to see the big man (President Kiir) so that he himself has full picture of what is going on in the area of Greater Pibor Administrative Area and myself,” David Yau Yau concluded.
