JUBA – Orange Corners, a Netherlands-based non-governmental entity, has vowed to empower the unemployed youth in South Sudan.
“Entrepreneurship stems from inspiration to solve any specific problem. In a country like South Sudan where demographic dividend is high, young entrepreneurs are key to solve many of its social and economic problems,” said Ebelien Zweers, an advisor at Orange Corners.
She said the organisation will partner with BizEx to support the youth in South Sudan.
“I believe the introduction of Orange Corners in South Sudan will act as the catalyst for developing the startup ecosystem,” stressed Zweers.
The Managing Director for BizEx, Mohammad Shahin said their aim is to turn youth into successful entrepreneurs.
“This latest initiative, Orange Corners South Sudan marks a significant milestone in Orange Corners’ mission to empower young minds, drive economic growth, and create sustainable livelihoods worldwide,” explained Shahin.
“Although, the Netherlands embassy is the core agency in implementing Orange Corners, a significant portion of the development budget is being given by BizEx as a social responsibility to the community,” he added.
The initiative seeks to enable youth turn business dreams into realities.
