JUBA – Former member of National Salvation Front (NAS) led by General Thomas Cirilo Swaka, Muslim Gore, who is a grandson to renowned South Sudan politician Abdelrahman Sule who went missing in late July 2015, has been promoted to the rank of Major, and then appointed military spokesman of the newly formed Democratic Resistance Movement (DRM) led by ex-NAS official Lako Jada Kwajok.
Gore resigned from NAS earlier this week in a resignation statement that thanks General Cirilo for “his tireless effort.”
In a statement seen by Sudans Post on Friday, DRM leader Jada promoted Gore into the rank of Major and appointed him as the group’s military spokesman in another statement with effect February 26, 2021.
“Pursuant to the resolutions of the Leadership Council (LC) meeting on the 23rd of October 2020; which stipulate the establishment of administrative structures and the appointment of dedicated cadres to the various positions in the Movement, I Dr Lako Jada Kwajok, Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Democratic Resistance Movement (DRM), hereby appoint Major Muslim Gore as the DRM Military Spokesman with immediate effect,” he said in the statement.
