JUBA, JANUARY 20TH 2023 (SUDANS POST) – The governor of South Sudan’s Western Equatoria State General Alfred Futuyo Karaba has issued a gubernatorial decree relieving the state’s chairperson of chamber of commerce Justin Zawa Ali.
The decree issued on 18th January 2023, did not cite any reason for the sacking of Justin Zawa apart from the governor’s powers provided for in the interim constitution of the state that permit him to remove public servants.
Futuyo didn’t name a replacement for Justin Zawa.
“The decree may be cited as state decree No.01/2023 for the relieve of Justin Zawa Ali from his position as the State Chairperson of Chamber of Commerce, Western Equatoria State, and shall come into force upon the date of its signature,” part of decree reads.
Justin Zawa Ali was appointed in March 2021 by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
