Governor Tong Aken urges South Sudanese students in Egypt to be ‘ambassadors of peace’

The governor of South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Tong Aken Ngor has urged students and South Sudanese communities in Egypt to become ambassadors of peace.

JUBA – The governor of South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Tong Aken Ngor has appealed to South Sudanese communities and students studying in Egypt to be ambassadors of peace and peace-full co-existence between their people back home.

Ngor who is currently in Egypt made the remarks during a graduation ceremony to hundreds of Northern Bahr el Ghazal Students in Cairo and urged newly admitted students to follow the footsteps of those who graduated on Friday.

“On the important note, I urge the students and Aweil community to be the ambassadors of peace and work to promote the unity and peaceful coexistence among the communities of Northern Bahr Ghazal State living in Egypt,” he said.

“I encourage the newly admitted students in different Universities and Higher Institutes in the Arab Republic of Egypt to follow the footsteps of their fellow graduands in order to accomplish their academic goals,” he added.

The senior government official further pledged that his government will continue to support the students in areas of their needs.

“Last but not least, the State government will continues supporting the students in any circumstances that need the government interventions,” Ngor said.
