JUBA — South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit has returned to the country following a three-day visit to South Africa where he held talks with his South Africa counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa who assured him of his country’s support to South Sudan’s peace implementation.
According to a statement by presidential affairs minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin, the South Sudanese president invited South African businesses to come and invest in South Sudan.
Speaking to Sudans Post this evening, a presidency official said Kiir has just returned to the country and was received at the airport by a group of supporters.
“Yes the president has returned to the country. He was received by South Sudanese at the Juba International Airport,” he said.
