Makuei who is under United States sanctions for actions that spoil peace has in recent weeks disappeared from the public eye and has gone silent without media statements being attributed to him.
Sudans Post decided to reach out to his office, but was told that the minister “has been outside the country on personal capacity.”
However, a source in Nairobi who said he has visited Makuei said the minister is being treated for heart complication which the source said has been with Makuei for a number of years.
“He is here in Nairobi and he is being treated for a heart condition. He has been suffering from the heart issue for a very long time but it is okay and is recovering and soon he will return to Juba,” the source said.
