There was one time President Kiir Mayardit recommended Akol Koor to be endorsed by Political Bureau which the top the leadership rejected.
By doing that, President Kiir thought that the power of South Sudan would be given to Akol Koor as he was given but he did not get it right this time.
Kiir Mayardit was left with no option but to plan transfer of power through illegal he coup was set to take place means.
Hence, coup was planned to take place on May 16, 2021.
But since coup is against African Constitutive Act, the Diplomatic support has to be sought.
For that reason, the team was dispersed. Tut Kew with his went to Chad to lobby for Diplomatic support in case the coup materializes. Chad was seen as strategic in their plan because the son just killed the father that time and took power by force. The military junta was seen as can give support to Kiir’s plan to make Akol Koor an heir to the throne.
In the same way, President Kiir Mayardit went to South Africa to also seek for Diplomatic support. Ethiopia and Sudan were also approached.
Fortunately, the news of pending coup dominated the social media that time. As a result, the Coup did not take place.
After that President Kiir announced the Parliament halfway but again sleep in order to show that he has the Political will to implement the Agreement and to distract the attention. In deed he succeeded.
Meantime, the police and other forces are being delayed from graduating not because there are no guns but because there is a plan.
What we should know is that Tutkew is interested in power or to be in top of the country. It is the same reason Kiir does not want to drop him as it is in his interest to make sure Tut and Akol Koor take power to protect him.
The reason is that the strict implementation of the Revitalized Agreement comes with accountability was provided in Chapter V of the Agreement in form of Hybrid Court place financial accountability that is enshrined in the Revitalized Agreement.
This is the main reason President Kiir Mayardit does not want to implement the Revitalized Agreement. Behind all these delays of the implementation and the plan coup, Tutkew is the mastermind.
Tut Kew is slowing the process of the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement simply because he wants to take power and form the Sudan’s style Military Supreme Council of which he becomes one of the members and to abolish the SPLM Political Bureau or the SPLM party as it is done to the National Congress Party of Bashir.
The reason for delaying the full formation of the Revitalized Agreement is that Tut Kew is hoping to get a chance for Akol Koor to take power through coup and then form Military Supreme Council headed by Akol Koor and he becomes part of the Council.
It is the above reason President Kiir Mayardit and Tut Kew are trying to slow the process of the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement.
In general, if the SPLM does not wake up to confront Kiir Mayardit on his policy of imposing Tut Kew, they will one day regret. It is same Tut Kew who is destroying the SSOMA peace process simply because he does not want peace to come to the country until he has achieved his coup plan.
