JUBA, JUNE 9, 2023 (SUDANS POST) – An angry teenager at the Juba former protection of civilians (POC) site has stabbed her brother to death after being suspected of having a relationship with a certain boy,  an eyewitness told Sudans Post today.

The eyewitness who refused to be named said the incident occurred inside POC 3 when the victim came to ask his sister where she had been for nearly five hours before her sister who was cutting onions stabbed him with knife in the neck.

“The incident occurred on 8 June 2023 at around 6:30PM in POC 3. The boy happened to be suspecting his sister of having a relationship with a certain guy and has since been observing her movements and noticed that her sister was absent for around 5 hours,” the eyewitness said.

“When she returned home, his brother was not there and when his brother arrived home, the boy started asking the sister where she had been. The lady was cutting onion and because of the continued questions from the brother, she stabbed him with the knife in his neck and died instantly,” he added.

The eyewitness said the teenager is now being held at the N4 (Nuer Community) police custody inside the camp and that investigations were being done.
