VP Taban meets Sudanese opposition delegation

South Sudan’s Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster Taban Deng Gai on Thursday afternoon met in his office with a delegation from the Sudanese opposition Forces of Freedom & Change.

JUBA, JANUARY 27th 2023 (SUDANS POST) – South Sudan’s Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster Taban Deng Gai on Thursday afternoon met in his office with a delegation from the Sudanese opposition Forces of Freedom & Change.

The delegation include prominent Sudanese opposition politician Yasir Saeed Arman, who was the SPLM party candidate in the 2010 Sudanese general elections, according to a statement from the vice-president’s office.

According to the statement, the delegation briefed the vice-president “on status of the Peace Agreement and general situation in Sudan.”

“Vice President Gen. Taban Deng Gai appreciated delegation for the visit and reiterate the commitment of H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan to bring total peace in Sudan,” the statement added.

It further stressed that “Peace in Sudan is peace in South Sudan and no any other country that know the problems of the Sudan more than South Sudan.”
