War was not caused by 32 states, but

OPINION – A new played up irrational argument from JUBA is that the war from 2013 was not caused by the number of states, and therefore the unilaterally decreed 32 states should not have been an issue at all in resolving the overall conflict…

Well, it is equally like saying that the last Sudanese civil war was not caused by Sharia law in 1983!

But what happened when the Islamic Sharia law was later on unilaterally introduced by the regime in Khartoum? It automatically became part and parcel of the whole issue, because it became a new problem added to the old problems that caused the war in 1983. It added to the problems that needed to be resolved in order to end the war!

By the same token, 32 states have added to the problems which need to be resolved. You cannot create states that are meant to grab ancestral lands from some ‘unfavoured’ communities and annex them to some other ‘favoured’ communities, and you think it is perfectly fine…

The evil plan by the group is to trick people into accepting the 32 states WITHOUT showing them their grabbed lands now. Then in the future surprise them with rich resourced chunks of lands taken from them, with the hope that it will be too late for them to resist…

Why would you want to create another inter-communal war over the contest of these hidden boundaries from the public when it comes to their physical demarcation on the ground?

Not even mentioning their negative economic implications in a country that fails to regularly pay its civil servants and army, and half of its population is being fed by international non governmental organizations…

A true leader would not want those bad things to happen to his people in the name of 32 suffering states, which only give jobs to blind loyalists at the expense of peace and prosperity for his people…

And was the number of states not discussed in 2015? Was it not agreed that the country reverted to 10 states? Or is the violation of that agreement not an issue too?

Let us go back to the inherited 10 states, or to 23+1 states which have known boundaries and avoid near future wars over grabbed lands.

Aren’t you tired of wars yet?

Also implement the pre-transitional security arrangements as a prerequisite per the R-ARCISS, and then form a revitalized transitional government of national unity…

Peace!
