The three-months training was organized by Star Trust Organization (STO) in partnership with United Nations Mission in South Sudan and United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Speaking during the graduation ceremony in Tambura County the Enactive Director of Star Trust Organization Mr. Steven Tangun said the training that focused on catering, bakery, solar maintenance and installation, and motorbike repair will help participants to use the skills acquired to generate income.
“We have trained 453 Youth across the county in different fields such as Catering and Bakery, Solar maintenance and installation, Motor Bike repairs, Vegetable production, and poultry,” Tangun said at the graduation ceremony yesterday.
Tangun said the training aims at promoting sustainable peace and creating a friendly environment for peaceful communities in Tambura country.
“Whenever young people come together to practice positive things it brings development, it’s now time for the youth of Tambura County to forget what happened in the past and work as brothers and sisters to attract more developmental activities into their County,” said Tangun.
The beneficiaries of the program in Juba hailed Star Trust Organization for investing in young people.
They said the skills they had acquired in the training will help them to generate school fees and cater for the basic family needs.
